SUMMARY:
Operates various types of saws both automatic andsemi-automatic to perform such operations as cross cutting andmitering of metal. Will perform machine set up and work fromdrawings, sketches and samples.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Selects appropriate saw blades according to typeof cut and bolts blade to machine shaft. Positions rams and stop onmachine table according to specifications of cut. Starts machine,places metal against guides and sets feed. Performs end cut andcycles one part. Measures cut stock from machine using height gage,caliper or square to verify against specifications. Maintainsproduction count. Inspects and loads data into computer fortracking when applicable. Monitors machine fluid level. Ensuresquality of parts before forwarding them to the next operation.
Reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Management. Responsiblefor cleanliness of his/her own work area and the generalhousekeeping of the Company. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED). Previousmanufacturing experience preferred.
