II SCHEDULE
Monday – Thursday, 7am – 5pm.
SUMMARY:
With minimal supervision sets up, operates and performs color compound batch assembly and extrusion. Keeps necessary records. Works to written and verbal instructions. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and final product quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Weigh, blend and extrude colored pigment pellets for the production of spun fibers Locate and adjust inventory of raw materials using E-1 programs Produce fabric samples for review by internal personnel and external customers utilizing the 1″ extruder and pilot equipment (draw bench, card, loom and dilo) Compare samples to target master’s on the Datacolor color compounder Performs other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
The ability to understand written and verbal instructions Good math skills Good communication skills The ability to utilize basic E-1 programs
REQUIRED TRAINING
Lock out/tag out Basic hazardous communication PPE On the job safety review
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school graduate 1 year of previous extruder experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
