Bindery Operator Hours:

2nd shift, 3pm – 11:30pm (with half hourunpaid break)

Location:

South Plainfield, NJ Pay:

$25 – 28/hr.,some OT may be required

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up,operate, and maintain a Polar paper cutter and MBO Folder.

Accurately and efficiently set up all cutting programs for each jobaccording to supplied specifications with a proficiency in polarcutter programming. Experience in all types of layouts / gangs /crossovers, signature layouts etc. Ensure completed jobs are packedor stacked properly in correct quantities / order if furtherfinishing is in order. Pre-set guide, fold plates, rollers and anyslitting knives, perforations or scores required on a MBO Folder.

Make adjustments during production run as required in adherence toall quality requirements. May be required to set up / operate /assist on 2 machines simultaneously. Knowledge of hot glue systemfor fugitive / permanent glue is a plus. Perform all requiredpreventative machine maintenance.

Qualifications:

Goodcommunication and writing skills are essential. Must be able tointeract with co-workers in a professional manner. Minimum of 5years’ experience as a Polar cutter operator / MBO folder operatoris required. Jet Press Envelope Printer experience a plus. Havegood attention to detail and excellent math skills.

PhysicalRequirements:

Continuous periods of standing while runningequipment 8-12 hour shifts. Continuous lifting of stacks of paper25-50lbs. Continuous movement, bending, twisting etc whileoperating equipment. M1
