Mill Setup Operator 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Akron, NY 14001 AAkron Rule Corp is searching for a Mill Setup Operator that is part of an established team in a fast-paced environment, responsible for performing various tasks and operations. This team member provides support within the Mill and in the yard and reports to the Mill Lead. The daily routine will require the candidate to be on their feel nearly 100% of the time and includes walking, standing, reaching, lifting, stooping or bending. The hourly range indicated in this posting represents a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. Actual pay will vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, shift differentials and location. Job Duties for the Mill Setup Operator are Responsible for setting up rips, sanders, stickers, double ender, shaper, and plainer Back up for wax kiln process Ensure quality product is being produced and resolving issues when they arise with equipment As time permits will operate equipment in mill / or help out in the yard or plainer room All other duties as assigned Skills/ Qualifications for the Saw Operator are High School Diploma/GED Judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills Interpersonal skills, with willingness to constructively address issues Flexibility to learn, to accept new challenges, and to perform multiple role Team player, offering help without being asked wherever the help is needed Ability to learn to operate Fork Lift Basic computer skills
