Job Description:

Job Summary:

Will be responsible for set up and operation ofdiamond turning machines in the production of low and high volumeproduction jobs. These jobs have tight tolerance and are complex innature. The employee will train others as directed by theOperations Manager. .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate diamond turning machines to manufacture mold nubbins andprototype lenses.
• Clean and visually inspect diamond turnedlenses.
• Inspect lenses using metrology equipment.
• Recordinspection data, labor hours and job information as required.
• Clean and maintain the diamond turning machines as required.
• Diamond Tool Inspection and handling
• Vacuum chuck mounting andmachining.
• Spindle balancing
• Diamond Tool Set up
• multipletools
• Machine adjustment and program parameter changes tomaintain lens tolerance.
• Machining of diffractive surfaces.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.

Additional Responsibilities:

• When requested, may work on special projects and various relatedassignments.
• May be required to work in various areas ofoperations when necessary

Pay Rate:

$19

• $24 per hour

Shift:

2:00 PM

• 12:30 PM, 4 nights a week.
