Machine Operator Position Available In Monroe, New York

Web Seal is seeking an experienced machine operator to joinour Order Fulfillment team.

Position:

Physically-active position responsible for work at all fabrication operations in job shop.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain fabrication and work stations assignments daily.
• Read and accurately interpret work assignments, including customer blueprints, all work instructions on job travelers, and material and packaging requirements.
• Operate all types of fabrication presses and other equipment in the job shop.
• Carry out assigned fabrication work in a timely manner.
• Accurately record time and material spent on each routing step of the job, and document any additional info or changes needed for the Job Traveler.
• Perform all fabrication work safely, following all OSHA, Web Seal, and other established safety guidelines. Wear personal protective equipment per training guidelines.
• Immediately notify Operations Manager of any product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, updates needed for job instructions, and/or personal injuries.
• Accurately use measurement devices (including calipers, pin gauges, tape measure, etc.) to inspect fabricated parts as required and record inspection information.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance.
• Incorporate total quality and continuous improvement principles into daily work routine.
• Maintain clean and neat orderly work areas, returning dies, materials and tools to designated areas.
• Be on time; notify Operations Manager ASAP of any unexpected delays or absences.
• Work cooperatively as part of the Order Fulfillment team.

Job Qualifications:

• High School equivalency preferred
• Prior work experience preferred
• Good basic math skills required
• Good interpersonal and oral communication skills required
• Ability to work efficiently and work under pressure in fast-paced factory environment
• Ability to stand at work station for a full day
