Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Primary Machine Operator to join our QTQO (Quarter-Turn Quick-Open) department. This role involves operating automated production machinery, ensuring high-quality output, and supporting continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor. Ideal candidates will have prior machine operating experience and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor machinery in the QTQO department Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues Follow production schedules using internal systems Produce sample and first-article parts before full runs Perform quality checks and separate non-conforming parts Maintain accurate records of production and tool use Communicate tooling or material needs to leads or supervisors Perform machine cleaning and basic maintenance Follow safety procedures and report any potential hazards Participate in cross-training and learn additional roles as needed

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required 2-3 years of experience operating manufacturing machines Comfortable using basic hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) Ability to lift up to 33 lbs Knowledge of or ability to learn how to read mechanical blueprints Ability to use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) Strong attention to detail and ability to work to close tolerances (.0005″) Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to train and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
