Vishay Thin Film is currently seeking applicants for a 1st shift Plating Operator responsible for following the established manufacturing specifications pertaining to the plating of various metals to substrates/wafers, performs one of the following groups of operations to provide a quality product to other departments.

Vishay Thin Film is located in Niagara Falls, NY. The site has a lot of natural beauty to offer including the world-famous Niagara Falls which are just a short drive away!

What you will be doing:

Records amount of photo resist on substrate / wafers. Place substrates/wafers into required chemical plating baths following established time standards obtained from logbook. Re-measures substrates/wafers and records to determine if additional plating is required. Plates thin film wrap terminations following established time standards. Strips photo resist off substrates / wafers. Cleans substrates using surface cleaner. Hot Water strips thin & thick film wrap terminations. Electroless plate thick film using a detailed process. Strip Tokyo paint. Provides chemical disposal containers and resupply of chemicals to Photolith section. Enters work from all cells accurately in computer logs. Collects queue numbers and enters in computer. Fills out weekly chemical inventory and notifies supervisor when any chemicals are running low. Keep work area clean with regular housekeeping. Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

What you will bring along:

High School Diploma Ability to read and write in order to interpret production documents and accurately record required information such as part number, lot number, special instructions and process sequences. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using a learned method or a calculator. Eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity in order to accurately process the small products manufactured. Ability to understand verbal instructions in order to take work direction and accurately manufacture products.

Pay Range:
