Manufacturing Operator II Responsibilities Must be willing towork in a pharmaceutical setting. Must be able to know how tooperate pharmaceutical production machinery independently andthoroughly complete required documentation (legible writing,accurate reporting, maintain and file, etc.) Execute procedures formanufacturing processes in accordance with batch manufacturingrecord (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements.
Perform machine changeovers, cleaning and set up as per SOPs.
Ensure the proper area & equipment cleanliness and setup instipulated time. Prepare a room and equipment for line clearance,replace room filters, Ensure verification and calibration ofbalance/scale and check pressure differential for the rooms. Ensureline clearance before initiating manufacturing activities in eacharea. Receive/transfer material from/to dispensing/manufacturingstorage and check dispensed materials/final mix blend/compressedtablets and labeling as per BMR. Wear appropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) as stated in the SOP/BMR beforeinitiating the process. Able to operate applicable equipmentindependently as per area of operation. Ensure adherence to qualitystandards during all stages of the manufacturing process. Completemanufacturing documents on time, ensuring accuracy andcompleteness. Responsible for training on all relevant SOPs andalways maintain compliance with related SOPs and current GoodManufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the manufacturing process.
Perform duties through the proper, safe use of equipment, accordingto Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals. Flexible towork extended hours, to achieve manufacturing schedule when needed.
Maintain discipline and comply with company policies andprocedures. Perform entire duties as communicated time to time bydepartment management/designee. Participate in safety relatedprograms and or safety teams as needed. Enforce and follow safetyregulations and ensure the working area is clean. Adhere tocompanies Safety, Health, and Environmental policies. Must be ableto work under general supervision and able to work independentlyand in a team environment. Must be able to exercise appropriateprofessional judgment on matters of significance. Other dutiesassigned by Manufacturing Management. Requirements 3 years ofdirect work experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing. High SchoolDiploma (or educational equivalent (i.e. GED) Preference will begiven to candidates with experience in generic pharmaceuticalmanufacturing. Must have legible handwriting, and the ability toperform accurate documentation. Understanding of granulation,compression, coating, and encapsulation machines. Capable ofconducting troubleshooting, investigations and root causeidentification and analysis. Able to prioritize, plan and workunder tight schedules and deadlines. Technical writing skills andapplication of relevant scientific principles and practices(preferred). Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orallyand in written. English proficiency required. Should not have anyrestriction to work with powder containing active pharmaceuticalingredients. This position requires the ability to do heavy lifting/ bending frequently. Long periods of standing up/walking duringthe working hours; ability to ascend/descend ladders; and able tolift to 35 pounds. Must be able to move pallets/equipment weighingabout 200 – 300 kgs using suitable moving equipment like palletjacks.
