Responsible for cutting raw material and/or trimming printed stock to customer specifications various cutters. Performs cutting operations to close tolerances. Prefer experience with a Heidelberg, Fotoba sheeters,Die Cutters

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

Checks material to be trimmed against production order for accuracy. Determines whether trimming is necessary prior to final cutting. Determines lift size (number of sheets) per cut to maintain tolerance ranges within precise limitations. Performs cutting operations to close tolerances, sets back stop, clamp pressure, keeps cutter square, changes blade, and checks with supervisor for approval before cutting job. Blocks, stacks, feeds, cuts, retrieves, and re-stacks sheets. Maintains production records as required. Records cutting waste. Measures or weighs as necessary, and dispose of material as indicated. Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on cutter, trimmer, and other equipment. Inspect machine guards for safety compliance. Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
