Machine Operator Lancaster Container is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and customer-oriented individual that has a positive attitude and shares the values of our company culture, which is built around teamwork, family, honest communication, and producing desirable results for our Washington Boro, PA manufacturing facility.

Shift:

Mon-Thursday 7:00am- 4:30pm & Friday 7:00 am – 11:00 am

Function:

As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for learning to operate Various Machines along the pail line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up, operate, repair, and maintain the various equipment of the pail line to produce a quality product while maintaining production standards of the seam welder cell
• Use of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to set up, maintain, and replace broken parts on machines
• Remove and install torqued bolts and fasteners, avoid pinch points, change over tooling and settings on all machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as required
• Understand and complete the various verification procedures for all equipment of the pail line
• Ensure all safety requirements are maintained while setting up, running, and maintaining the pail line equipment
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards
• Use of calibrated equipment and hand tools for measurement verifications
• Complete data entry and paperwork of equipment or products
• Work with all other plant personnel to ensure efficient operation of pail line
• Utilize various measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.

)

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• 2-3 years of machine operation experience; manufacturing experience is preferred
• Possess knowledge of reading daily production schedules
• Possess the ability to multi-task several duties at one time
• Demonstrate ability to successfully contribute to a team atmosphere
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to explicitly follow instructions
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged time periods
• Ability to lift and handle up to 75 pounds for certain jobs Lancaster Container was founded in 1976 to provide customers with a dependable steel pail.

Since that time they have expanded to a much larger and broader customer base. Currently, they provide pails and containers to customers all over North America. Currently, we have two locations in Pennsylvania that support customers throughout the United States.
