Food Packaging Machine Operator Choice Canning Company Pittston, PA Pittston Pa Food Manufacturing company is seeking a Food Packaging Machine Operator. This person will set up, operate and breakdown a Vertical Form Fill and Seal Bagger and an Ishida 32 head RV Scale. This is a temporary-to hire salaried position with a Benefits Package, PTO, Paid training, Incentive Bonuses, Paid Holidays, and much more. Base pay plus bonus / incentive. DOE Well-motivated and mechanically apt individuals encouraged to apply, training provided. You just need the correct attitude and a desire to learn and excel. Primary duties of this position are: Following health and safety standards and production guidelines (GMP’s) Maintain a safe working area for oneself and other associates. Follow and adhere to safety regulations and guidelines. Machine Setup/Breakdown, before and after operation. Machine Operation, ability to start up, operate, and adjust bagger machine / scale during production. Ability to Read and Write and Understand English. Ability to document required daily paperwork and checklists. Maintaining a clean workstation.
Inspect / Monitor
machinery for safety issues, mechanical abnormalities, etc. Performing routine maintenance checks. General daily Equipment Maintenance. Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:
Able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment. Highschool Diploma or GED required; Mechanical training preferred. General mechanical aptitude and understanding of complex production equipment. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be flexible to work any shift. Must be available to work weekends and holidays if required. Must be authorized to work in the United States Basic computer skills Job related mechanical skills will be assessed
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs Regularly required to work around operating equipment, confined spaces, stand, reach, stoop, crawl, walk, climb ladders and bend.
