Plastics Technician Element2 Group Woonsocket, RI 02895 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and that products meet quality standards. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various manufacturing processes, particularly in plastics processing. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain various machinery, including plastics blow molding and extrusion equipment. Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and CNC machines to ensure precise measurements and adjustments. Monitor production processes to identify any issues or inefficiencies, making necessary adjustments to optimize output. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of production data and machine performance for continuous improvement initiatives. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably as a Process Technician or similar role. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and processes related to plastics manufacturing. Proficient in operating press brake machines and other relevant machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is essential. Knowledge of CNC operations is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
