OPERATOR REPORTS TO
Texturing Production Manager PURPOSE:

To safely and efficiently run texturing machines to spec and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Run machines to spec and quality standards
  • Keep ends up and running
  • Troubleshoot ends that are down and correct
  • Splice packs together
  • Flag position that are not working
  • Keep work area clean
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work safely
  • Ability to read and write and follow directions
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow texturing operator standard work procedures
  • Ability to run 4-5 machines efficiently
  • Ability to trouble and correct machine position issues and flag positions if position can’t be fixed by operator
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Good communication skills
MACHINES, TOOLS, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT

Creel, Yarn, Pen, Marker, doff guide, need. Aspirator, splicer, texturing machine, step ladders

DESCRIPTION
  • Standing:

    Ability to stand to run and fix machines 100% of day

  • Moving Move freely throughout the texturing department 100% of day
  • Push Use a broom and dust pan. 50% of day
  • Reach:

    Ability to reach yarn above head with a guide assistance to rethread machine 75% of day

  • Access Ability to use step ladders and stationary ladders 50% of day
  • Bending:

    Ability to pick up objects from the floor. Ability to bend to ground and sometimes sit on knees to cut out laps 50% of day

  • Walking Ability to walk through the plant to get to work station, meeting rooms, break area, and to perform audits. 10% of day
  • Environment:

    Ability to work around polyester, nylon and acetate 100% of day

Environment:

Ability to work in a conditioned indoor environment where temperature varies with the weather. 100% of day 11)

Environment:

Ability to follow defined break schedule 10% of day

  • Environment:

    Ability to work in manufacturing environment around powered material handling vehicles and moving mechanical parts. 100% of day

Schedule/Attendance:

Must be able to work 12 hour shifts. Must be able to rotate with assigned shifts per work schedule. Must be able to regularly and predictably attend per scheduled hours. 100% of day
