Description
A Prep Operator will report to the Senior Production/QA leader and will assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures. The Support Operator will operate equipment safely and efficiently to ensure the very best quality is produced to Milliken and Company’s customers. All Support operators will learn how to operate forklifts and tuggers.
Qualifications:
- Able to interact effectively with management, piers, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and be capable of using motorized equipment (fork trucks, tuggers, etc.).
- Must be self-driven and a team player
Responsibilities:
- Operate each job in the department according to established procedures.
- Follow written and oral instructions from department leaders.
- Maintaining high level of housekeeping and cleanliness, keeping a safe working environment.
- Ensure 1st quality product is being produced at all times
- Perform scheduled cleans on equipment and area
- Transport fabric and material from one area to the next using different types of material handling equipment.
- Assist in unloading rolls on manual frames
- Keep tubes stocked for inspectors
