Career Equipment Operator 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars 600 Prosperity Dr, Orangeburg, SC 29115 Valtir is searching for Equipment Operator team members in our Orangeburg, SC plant. As a Highway Guardrail Manufacturer team member, you will perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, assembling, and moving materials. Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM and overtime as needed Friday and or Saturday. What you’ll do: Lay-up sequence and or templates Read blueprints, adjust for thickness, and adjust appropriate settings to shape of material Load material for processing and verify dimensional requirements May use overhead cranes or forklift Determine appropriate loading/racking process proficiently Understand proper stacking and packing process Monitor and identify errors or defects in complex products Follow all safety rules and practices Perform other duties as assigned Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled. The job is a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant. Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes. Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. What you’ll need: Steady work history Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately Ability to operate three of the following equipment types: Press Break, Punch Press, Saw Press or Roller Ability to understand technical aspects of the job Ability to follow verbal, written instructions and procedures Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently Ability to function as a team member and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
