Job Description
Compounder 2nd Shift 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Orangeburg, SC Job Summary A Compounder prepares and accurately documents raw materials for manufacturing requirements. Job Responsibilities Compounds (blends, mixes) raw materials and distributes to extrusion equipment areas. Mixing different raw materials together using scales, volumetric cylinders, tumblers, and other mixing equipment. Legibly writing on containers and record keeping. Shaking, rolling, and mixing containers as required. Keep a clean, neat workplace. Observe all safety rules and regulations

Climate:
Temperature range from 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit to sustained periods.
Lifting:
Up to 70 pounds periodically to a height of 48 inches. Use of pallet jack to move up to 1500 pounds. Roll cart with up to 50 pounds of weight as necessary
Reaching:
Up to a height of 72 inches approximately 2 lbs. unit weight. Normally no special clothing is required; however at times, a white laboratory coat/coveralls; gloves and masks may be required. Includes rotations with Jar Washing responsibilities Qualifications The ability to carry out oral and written instructions along with the ability to adapt to different situations Physical condition demands being able to lift, push, pull, standing for sustained periods, etc., as outlined in number seven (7), eight (8) and nine (9) above. Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to read and write legibly Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
