Plastic Extrusion Operator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Spartanburg, SC 29303 Condustrial, Inc. is eager to find a Blown Film Extrusion Operator in Spartanburg, SC with 2 or more years of experience 7am-7pm Mon-Thurs Fri 7a-730pm $20-22/hour Responsibilities include: Set up, operation and shut down of the blown film extrusion line (i.e., verify resins and additives are correct per work order; Ensure barrel and die temperatures are correct; Set screw and nip roll speeds to maintain proper film size and gauge; Control of bubble cage, nip reduction cage and air ring; Change out of extruder screen pack and cleaning of resin mixer filters.) Set up, operation and shut down of all down line film converting equipment: (i.e., Corona surface treater, Flexo graphic print station, Bag machine, Rewind, Folder) Maintain extruded film product to required gauge, length, width, seal strength, film color and print color. Transfers data to the daily production log, quality control documents or forms used in the production process. Follow the production schedule and other related documents necessary to produce and meet customer orders including those with instructions. Communicate line malfunctions in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is kept to a minimum. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more consistently. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Will occasionally be required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be willing and able to work on a 12-hour A shift schedule. Be able to perform length, gauge, and weight measurements. Use of hand tools, such as wrenches, scrapers, die gauges, screwdrivers, tape measures, micrometers, etc. Be able to visually inspect the product for defects.
