The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cherry pickers and other heavy equipment to efficiently manage materials handling and order picking processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are accurately picked, loaded, and unloaded, contributing to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. Duties Operate cherry pickers and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to retrieve items from high storage locations. Perform load and unload tasks, ensuring that products are handled with care to prevent damage. Utilize a warehouse management system (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and order fulfillment. Conduct order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accuracy in picking orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow within the distribution center. Assist in training new employees on equipment operation and safety protocols as needed. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with cherry pickers. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred. Experience in materials handling within a distribution center environment. Proficient in order picking processes and use of RF scanners. Previous experience operating forklifts or cranes is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
