At Hi-Way Paving, we specialize in concrete paving, storm drainage, and excavation for highways and airfields. While we may not have immediate openings, we are always looking for skilled Concrete Saw Operators to join our team. This role requires extensive travel to project sites in Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; Columbia, SC; and other future site locations TBD, as part of our slip-form concrete paving operations. What You’ll Do:

Operate walk-behind concrete saws to create clean, precise expansion/control joint cuts on pavements (roadways, runways, etc.). Cut out damaged concrete, drill for reinforcing rods, and position rods for concrete repair. Conduct post-cut inspections and correct any errors while maintaining quality. Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure and protect concrete surfaces. Keep equipment and work areas clean and hazard-free. Follow all safety protocols and worksite regulations. Perform other duties as needed.

What We Look For:

3+ years of experience as a concrete saw operator (required). 1+ year of heavy/highway construction experience (5+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of saw equipment, blade types, and safety practices. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and work independently. Ability to travel up to 100% based on project needs. Ability to gain clearance for high-security zones (e.g., airport AOA, military bases). Valid driver’s license.

Physical requirements:
