This position starts at $22.45/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have open positions for first shift. This facility operates five days a week and produces Sausage Patties, Sausage Links and Roll Sausage.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass that allows for correct further processing to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass to remove hide only to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job task. Average training time may require 2-3 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for operating ergonomic lift stand by using dual foot controls to position operator at correct work height. Responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass that allows for correct further processing to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass and separate meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for inspecting carcass and making precision cut to remove quality defects. Responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job task. Average training time may require 2-3 months. Must be trained and certified to perform

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must also adheres to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment. Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor. Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50lbs. Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals. Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas. Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours. Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment. Must be willing and able to complete cycles in less than 10 seconds. Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months. Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience. This facility does not accept rehires.
