Extrusion Technician
C POSITION OBJECTIVE
To produce a consistent quality product utilizing procedures and process related troubleshooting while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment and ensuring all customer and internal quality requirements are met
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent Minimum six months’ extrusion experience Mechanical aptitude Demonstrated proficiency as Winder Operator Good oral /written communication skills Computing knowledge Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Any supplemental responsibilities as determined by Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead Ensure compliance with operating procedures / SOCs Maximize throughput in accordance with operating instructions / SOCs Monitor / maintain gauge profile control Ensure correct resin formulation in accordance with SOCs Report raw material consumption according to docket Verify settings against SOC using line data Assist adjoining line if necessary Maintain equipment notifying Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attention Initiate work orders for items to be addressed during future outage Initiate timely line adjustments to correct quality issues in accordance with operating procedures and / or troubleshooting manuals Overtime as required Support Quality Control with laboratory requirements / testing procedures Assist in training of winder operators Strive to achieve departmental production and quality objectives Comply with company recycling policy Comply with all Plant Safety and Product Safety requirements
