High school diploma or GED Packaging Computer skills RF scanner 1 year Mechanical knowledge Entry level Full Job Description Machine Operators run high‑speed equipment that decorates and packages glass containers—including automated labeling, screen‑printing presses, spray‑coating booths, UV or lehr ovens, and carton‑erector/packout stations. You will set up machines per the daily production schedule, keep them supplied with bottles and consumables, make minor mechanical and HMI adjustments, and perform in‑process quality checks so every pallet meets customer and regulatory standards. - Install tooling, select recipes, and zero‑calibrate labelers, screen printers, and spray heads.
- Regulate speed, temperature, air/ink flow, and cure time through the HMI or PLC panel. || Quality Assurance |
- Inspect registration, color, and adhesion; verify lot/date codes; weigh or gauge samples per control‑plan frequency; isolate non‑conforming parts. || Troubleshooting & Minor Maintenance |
- Clear jams, replace nozzles, and adjust rollers or tensioners; document downtime and coordinate larger repairs with Maintenance. || Material Handling & Documentation |
- Load bottles, inks, labels, and cartons with a pallet jack or forklift; scan barcodes to log WIP and finished goods in the ERP/WMS system. || Safety & 5S |
- Follow lock‑out/tag‑out and PPE rules for moving conveyors, UV lamps, and solvent stations; keep the work cell clean and organized. || Team Collaboration |
- Communicate changeovers or issues to the Line Lead; assist with cross‑training and continuous‑improvement events.
| Minimum Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED. 1 + year operating industrial packaging, printing, or coating machinery. Basic mechanical aptitude—able to read gauges, use hand tools, and interpret SOPs. Visual acuity and color discrimination; able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 10‑hour shifts. Basic computer/RF‑scanner skills. Preferred Experience with glass, plastics, or food‑grade packaging lines. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain). Working knowledge of lean/5S or
