1st Shift Machine Operator (M-F 6:30am-6:30pm) MEIWA Industry North America Inc Lewisburg, TN 37091

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, produces finished interior automotive parts in accordance with design/specifications and quality standards by utilizing a variety of tools, equipment and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Follows established work instructions, processes, and procedures. Observes operations at the start to detect misaligned dies or malfunctions, and makes manual adjustments to maintain heat parameters (if necessary). Assembles parts and forms them in accordance with design specifications and within quality standards. Produces the required number and type of good parts as per the production schedule. Utilizes equipment such as spray guns, rivet guns, hinge presses, punch presses, bonding presses, wrapping tables, and hot melt glue machines. Performs necessary cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance on all equipment using proper techniques. Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to the supervisor. Cleans and maintains the assigned work area. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently. Maintains production records/documents as required. Maintains regular attendance, arrives on time in accordance with assigned schedule. Follows all company/safety rules and policies. Wears required personal protective equipment on the production floor at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1 year or more experience in an extrusion or similar manufacturing environment. High School diploma or GED or similar combination of education and/or technical training and/or experience. Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to read and understand/interpret technical prints, drawings and related instructions/documents.
