Production Screen Machine Operator Reports to:

Production Supervisor Job Summary:

The Production Screen Machine Operator will efficiently and safely control various machines and equipment involved in production, resulting in a product that meets quality assurance standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Primary Responsibilities:

Set up machine (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle. Control and adjust machine settings. Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines if required. Operates Screening machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may vary, training on specific machine required prior to operation. Produces the required quantity of parts with established specifications and tolerances. Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic routine adjustments and maintenance. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Knowledge of work instructions and operating procedures for each machine operated. Knowledge of quality standards and procedures. Compliance with all safety requirements, including always wearing Personal Protective Equipment as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation. Thorough understanding of, or the ability to quickly learn, production equipment operation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable safety and environmental regulations. Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing orders, blueprints, general instructions, work and safety rules and regulations.

Education/Training Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience Requirements:

At least one (1) year of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods working on feet, standing and walking throughout the work are on a continuous basis, using tools, and performing repetitive actions. Constantly positions self to maintain production, including frequent reaching, bending and stooping. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds at a time. Ability to communicate with team members.
