Setup Technician – 3rd Shift Position Available In Rutherford, Tennessee

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Setup Technicians sets up new processes fromscratch utilizing scientific mold assessment tools to determinecycle time and other key process parameters. Analyze and adjustprocesses based upon injection and pressure curve analysis. Startuppresses and ensures they are running to standard process andprovide troubleshooting when not up to standards. Responsible forensuring a safe and productive work environment. Troubleshootmolding machines to bring parts into specifications for size,appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, etc. Recognize and recommendcorrective actions for tooling issues. Demonstrate high level ofunderstanding of material properties and interactions in theinjection molding process. Frequently performs producer role whileassisting Set-Up Technicians. Complete necessary paperwork; sampleretention papers; mold forms; mold change time tickets; andmanufacturing orders.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

High SchoolDiploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. 2 to 5 yearsof experience with machine and mold set-up. Participate indeveloping action plans to resolve problems with safety, quality,production, delivery and 5S. Assists set up technicians in timelymold setup, cleaning, venting and teardown as needed to supportproduction schedules. Help to properly install, monitor, clean andremove auxiliary equipment to injection molding machines as neededby Production Scheduling or Process Engineering . Work withproducers to stop/start, monitor and respond to injection moldingmachines, automation equipment and material loading system alarms.

Demonstrate a “service attitude” when interacting with internal andexternal customers while accomplishing work, production and qualitystandards. Maintain clean, organized, safe working environment withequipment and materials located in proper locations in accordancewith 5S standards inside and outside of facility.
