DESCRIPTION
Job Title New Goods Support Associate Department Operations Team Leader New Goods Manager Status Non-exempt Mission Contribution:
To support the activities of the New Goods Department to maximize profitability.
Function:
Under the direct leadership of the New Goods Manager the New Goods Support Associate is responsible for organizing and breaking down pallets of goods in preparation for processing. Clean up empty pallets, make room for incoming truck loads, assist with staging incoming pallets and help maintain a neat, clean, and organize facility. The New Goods Support Associate will also break down cardboard boxes, shred items by feeding them into the cardboard shredder machine and properly dispose of the shredded materials.
Essential Responsibilities:
Follow good safety and security practices. Including reporting safety hazards. Meets and often exceeds production goals of breaking down 6-8 pallets a day. Assist with stickering merchandise when needed. Assist with securing dandux for shipping. Operate shredding and recycling machines safely and efficiently. Operate a pallet jack safely and efficiently Perform routine maintenance on shredder machinery. Operate cardboard machine to shred cardboard as packing materials inside boxes to be ship. Maintain processing area and equipment in a neat, clean, and operable condition. Any other duties assigned by New Goods Manager.
Training & Experience:
High school Diploma, preferred.

Able to perform basic math skills. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, professional demeanor. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Regular attendance at the job, requiring teamwork and interaction with others. Ability to work under general supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, and reach. Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to sixty (60) pounds with no support regularly. Over sixty (60) pounds request for additional team member assistance as needed. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects as required by job.
