Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Set-Up Technician / Mold Setter to join our production team. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently setting up and changing molds on injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, remove, and change molds on plastic injection molding machines following established procedures Ensure molds are properly clamped, aligned, and connected to auxiliary equipment (water, air, hydraulics, etc.) Set and verify machine parameters to meet production requirements Perform start-up and shut-down of molding machines and troubleshoot setup-related issues Inspect and maintain molds and tooling to identify wear, damage, or defects Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment Communicate effectively with production supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams Maintain accurate documentation of setups, mold changes, and machine adjustments

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in mold setting or plastic injection molding preferred Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools, torque wrenches, and lift equipment Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and setup sheets Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
