Fabric Cutter Dometic 91 Manchester Valley Road, Manchester Center, VT 05255 Purpose of the Role To accurately cut fabrics ready for manufacture of blinds, curtains and other soft furnishings. Main Responsibilities Carry out cutting of Dometic fabrics to a requested sizes and/or templates in a timely manner, as required by orders and cutting lists. Training will be provided as and when necessary to achieve this. Operate a computer to download cutting programs to the CNC machine. Monitor the machine during operation for unusual sounds or vibrations Read cutsheet/CAD drawings and use tape measures to ensure that parts are within quality specifications Visually inspect material for defects Load and unload rolls of material from machine using a manual hydraulic lifter Load and unload various cutting, marking ad punching tools Maintain a clean and tidy working area surrounding a large powered cutting table Rotate stock of standard fabrics The post-holder may be asked to take on different tasks as required, and all employees are expected to work collaboratively to support the overall goals of Dometic Who are we looking for Qualifications and Experience We believe that the ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experiences: Previous working experience in manufacturing sector with a factory environment – preferred, but not essential Good written and spoken English – required Strong basic maths knowledge for inventory tracking Success Factors To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics: Teamwork Understanding and following paperwork Ability to use tape measures and rulers Strong attention to detail
