PM Summary:
Communicates and interacts with patients, physicians, peers and other health care members to maximize successful customer outcomes. Communicates appropriate information to clinician / physician. Demonstrated correct techniques in updating the Electronic Medical Record. Applies casts, splints, braces and other orthopedic devices in the clinic, inpatient and OR setting under the direction and supervision of the clinician. Assists physician / clinician with dressing changes. Removes sutures and staples.
Responsibilities:
SERVICE
- Fabricates prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, and workmanship.
- Repairs prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, and workmanship.
- Improvises when projects are unusual or obscure.
- Fits patients with appropriate soft goods as ordered.
- Instructs patient and or family member in the use and care of the soft goods.
- Documents care provided in patient record.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment for patients and staff.
- Maintains, cleans and adjust equipment. QUALITY
- Modifies communication to level of patient’s/customer’s understanding and accommodates for differences in learning styles/needs.
- Seeks assistance with fabrication issues/patient care issues from immediate supervisor or clinician. FINANCE
- Assists in maintaining inventory. GROWTH
- Maintains own schedule to maximize efficiencies in product completion.
