Parts Grinder Operator Woodland Polymers 201 5th Avenue North, Piedmont, AL 36272 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various grinding equipment to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of machining processes. The Grinder will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain grinding machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Perform precision grinding on various materials according to specifications.
- Utilize CNC machines, laser cutting, and electrical discharge machining as needed.
- Assemble components using hand tools and milling machines.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary. Experience
- Previous experience in a machining or manufacturing environment is preferred but not needed we will train.
- Familiarity with tooling, welding, and assembly processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating milling machines is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings or blueprints.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
