POSITION SUMMARY

Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform minor to moderate mold repair and conduct preventative and routine maintenance tasks. This candidate will also be involved with new tooling trials and startups. The Technician must be knowledgeable enough with tooling and tooling shop to order and arrange major repairs outside the DNUS Facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support to molding by repairing and doing preventive maintenance on plastic injection molds. Assist in Mold PM and Repair Scheduling Maintain all PM and repair records on the company computer. Coordinate all Outside mold repair by outside shops as needed. To include service, transportation, verification, and Purchase Request Maintain 5S in Tooling Shoop Maintain all shop equipment Maintain safety records for crane. Maintain Tooling Spare parts Assist in minor fabrication project for maintenance when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

(including educational requirements) High School diploma or equivalent required 3 – 5 years of maintenance, molding, or tooling experience Fabrication Shop Experience Personal or professional. (Direct tooling repair experience preferred) Automotive manufacturing experience desired. Operation of overhead crane with molds up to 60,000 lbs. Must be willing to work the 2nd shift (7:00pm-3:45am) Must be willing to work overtime as needed . Possess strong troubleshooting skills. Tig welding or micro-welding experience a plus. Ability to make repairs on molds in the press to keep downtime to a minimum when necessary. Ability to weld, spot parting line, and handwork back to runnable condition.
