Our client is seeking a dedicated Mold Machine Tech to join their team and ensure the maintenance and quality of molds and fixtures used in the production of high-performance plastic products. Responsibilities of the Mold Machine Tech Collaborate with the engineering department to develop and implement maintenance programs for tools, molds, fixtures, and equipment. Support Mold Makers in resolving chronic process or quality issues. Prepare and manage mold maintenance schedules based on input from Production, Engineering, and Mold Makers. Organize and maintain Tool Room equipment and document maintenance efforts. Utilize precision measuring devices to maintain molds and fixtures accurately. Maintain blueprints, files, and an up-to-date mold storage system. Report any faulty operations or defective materials to the supervisor immediately. Requirements of the Mold Machine Tech Entry-level position requiring some knowledge of Tool Room equipment and maintenance procedures. Proficiency in advanced trades mathematics and industry-specific knowledge of injection molding processes. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and product specifications. Strong communication skills to interact with company representatives and vendors. Moderate physical demand, including exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally. Ability to work in a machine shop environment with exposure to industrial elements. Steel-toed shoes and hearing protection may be required during certain tasks.
