Position Overview:
Conducting highly diversified duties forestablishing and maintaining mold-related processes. This willinclude, but is not limited to, determining an injection moldingand related process for manufacturing products using the mostcost-effective methods.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Work with engineering on the designs of new molds. Performing mold trials, samplings, and pilot runs. Establish and document the injection molding process for newmolds Establish and document all Scientific Molding opportunities Provide feedback to engineering on new tooling performance andconditions Establish labor requirements for new molds Make recommendations for automation and auxiliary equipment tolower labor costs. Maintain machine specifications data on the public drive Maintain files on all scientific molding processes Provide leadership and training for all LMT moldingapplications Work with production and plant managers in all plants to conductperformance evaluations from a processing perspective for allsupervisors using the LMT skill set training matrix. Requirements Must have own tools Must have a working knowledge of mold storage, handling, andinjection molding equipment. Must be able to use micrometer calipers and other inspectiondevices Must work safely and use all safety precautions Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently Must be an accomplished set-up person with formal processingtraining. Must understand and demonstrate all safety requirements for usingand handling molds and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move objects up to50 pounds, with heavier weights necessary at times.
