Location:
MS Gulf Coast
Schedule:
M-F 6:30AM-5PM | Flexibility for overtime/weekends as needed
Pay:
$27+/hr, based on experience (Paid relocation for the right candidate)
Position Overview:
We’re hiring a Ready-Mix Concrete Plant Operator to join our team! This position is responsible for operating and maintaining ready-mix concrete plants to ensure efficient, high-quality production. The role requires attention to safety, proper equipment maintenance, and coordination with drivers, dispatchers, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate computerized batch systems to mix and deliver concrete per mix design and quality standards
Monitor and adjust plant functions for efficient production and regulatory compliance
Prepare equipment for daily plant operations and startup
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of batching equipment
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations
Maintain accurate records of materials usage, production, and maintenance
Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and quality control personnel
Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in operating a ready-mix concrete batch plant.
2-3 years of industry-related experience required
2+ years of experience in ready mix plant maintenance required
High school diploma or GED required
Experience operating a ready-mix concrete batch plant preferred
Knowledge of mix designs, production procedures, and plant equipment
Experience with computerized batch systems (e.g., CommandAlkon) preferred
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Physically able to work in a demanding environment and lift up to 50 lbs
Willingness to work flexible hours and in varying weather conditions
Must have a valid driver’s license
