Job Description
This position is for a Cut off Saw Operator with a company in Verona, MS.Slitter Operator 1st Shift. Monday to Friday. Temp to Hire $15.00 an Hour
Summary:
To slice foam by operating a slitting machine according to customer specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
At the beginning of each shift, receive work orders from lead person what needs to be sliced. Gather foam blocks to be sliced and place on table; arrange foam within measurements on table. Set up slicer to correct measurements for slicing, make minor adjustments. Turn on slitter and slit foam. Stencil customer information on foam when requested. Tag with info for next operation. Transport sliced foam and shop order copy to designated area when slicing is complete. Accountable for accurate slicing of foam. Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production area. Practice proper safety techniques. Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned. This may include help from the maintenance department with necessary. Follow all procedures and guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested.
Education and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
