Tenn Tex Plastics, a leader in the molding injection industry and part of the Marmon Holdings family, is seeking an experienced Mold Technician to support our production team. The Mold Technician will play a critical role in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting molds to ensure high-quality production and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mold changes, setups, and adjustments on injection molding machines according to production schedules. Troubleshoot and resolve mold-related issues, including equipment malfunctions, to minimize downtime. Inspect, clean, and maintain molds, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Assist in the installation and alignment of molds, utilizing precision tools and equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance and document mold performance and repairs. Collaborate with the production team to optimize cycle times and product quality. Monitor equipment and process parameters to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety policies. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report issues or recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mold maintenance or related fields preferred. 3 years experience as a Mold Technician in a molding injection environment. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, and materials. Proficient in the use of precision tools, measuring devices, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and kneeling. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
