Job Description
Hours:
Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pm Presses buttons on control panel to start conveyors that feed rubber crumbs from drier through extruder and into hot mill. Opens breech-lock head on extruder, using wrenches. Removes foreign matter from equipment, using hot hoe and wooden tamper. Turns handwheel to adjust space between rollers on hot mill to remove moisture and to regulate thickness of product on rollers. Observes color and surface characteristics of rubber to determine degree of dryness. Turns valves on steam lines to maintain temperatures. Will be responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products and reporting any issues with equipment directly to the supervisors.
E SSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Actively participates and contributes to their assigned work team and supports the goals and objectives of the company production team. Maintain a safe working environment as a condition of employment. Maintain productivity standard within operational area. Previous experience in high volume warehouse. Able to speak Spanish a plus Bending/squatting for 8 hours a day Carrying/lifting/pulling/pushing at least 50 pounds. Able to walk on concrete floor up to 8 hours per day.
