Job Description
At Controls Southeast, we design and manufacture custom thermal process systems that power industries around the world. We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Molder to join our metal casting Foundry Department—someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship. What You’ll Do:
Prepare and assemble molds using sand, resin, or other materials
Operate and maintain molding equipment and machinery
Identify and work with various patterns, inserts, and gating/riser systems
Ensure proper creation by understanding draft angles and parting lines to ensure accurate mold positioning, secure cores, and ensure proper alignment Mold basic patterns using hand tools and follow job order specifications
Set inserts and determine proper pattern clearance
Mull sand and operate the conveyor system to deliver sand to hoppers
Assist with the metal pouring process
Return completed patterns to designated storage locations
Inspect molds for defects Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate
PPE Foundry Molder Position Requirements:
This is a physically demanding role that requires: Standing for extended periods
Repetitive motion
Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
Working in hot, dusty, and noisy environments High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing setting preferred (but we’ll train the right candidate) Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Ability to work in a physically active, team-oriented environment Why Us?
