Responsibilities:
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the manufacturing area, focusing on production quality, equipment utilization, and overall process effectiveness. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and performs tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in plastic injection molding, including strong troubleshooting skills. Proficient in mold changes and machine set-ups. Solid understanding of resin properties, including melt flow, drying requirements, and processing behavior. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Key Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the manufacturing area. Promote and ensure a safe and productive workplace. Adjust processes as needed to meet quality standards and production efficiency targets based on molding output per hour. Adhere to established process parameters to ensure consistent product quality. Conduct mold cleaning and preventative maintenance according to company procedures. Perform mold and material changeovers per the production schedule, including water and sprue picker robot setup. Handle material preparation tasks, such as configuring loaders, dryers, concentrate feeders, and grinders. Communicate effectively with the incoming supervisor regarding any issues, setup changes, process updates, or relevant manufacturing concerns. About the
