  • Day Shift Essential Functions Weigh or measure materials, ingredients or products to ensure conformance to requirements.

Continually evaluates the quality of product received and product prepared for packaging. Compound or process ingredients according to formulas. Read and review work orders/schedule with Lead Mixer or Production Supervisor to determine production specifications or information. Picks ingredients from stock/inventory as called for by mix schedule. Record production data on specified forms. Keeps accurate inventory of all grains received, mixed, and shipped. Consistently works on keeping mixing equipment and work area clean. Operate or tend machines to mix grains and food product ingredients. Operates dust system, separator and auger as required Examine products visually to ensure conformance to established standards. Electronically and physically transfers products between work areas. Operates WEM system according to production needs. Troubleshoots any problems with machinery and corrects within scope of knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Language Skills
  • The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language. Math Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills
  • Must be able to complete transactions using computer and RF scanning equipment. This will require learning the unique internal systems to complete transactions. Physical Demands
  • Must be met by an employee to successfully perform job.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, smell, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb to a height of up to 35 feet and/or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While working this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions

  • such as heat and cold and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and hearing protection is required when running some machinery. Additional Qualifications
  • Forklift and Electric Jack experience strongly preferred. Must be able to safely manipulate vehicles around moving co-workers and equipment with extreme care.
  • Must have the ability to become certified on forklift and pallet jack.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail when completing work tasks.
  • Willing and able to work with food allergens including but not limited to peanuts, shellfish, wheat, soybeans, milk and eggs.
