Machinist Summary:

Candidates should be experienced with various machines including but not limited to, saws, engine lathes, turret lathes, drills, milling machines, NC and CNC machines. Ideal candidates would have skill and expertise including but not limited to working with different types of materials, understanding of tolerances and learn and/or conduct possible machine programming changes.

We are NOW Hiring 2nd Shift Experienced CNC Mill and Lathe Operators! Do you have experience in CNC Machining, Milling or Lathe Operation? The D. L. Martin Company in Mercersburg, PA is actively seeking highly skilled CNC machinists. Candidates should be experienced with various machines including but not limited to, saws, engine lathes, turret lathes, drills, milling machines, NC and CNC machines. Ideal candidates would have a high degree of skill and expertise including but not limited to experience with exotic materials, tight tolerances and minor to major programming changes. The individuals we are seeking are required too efficiently and productively.

• Interpret complex blueprints, including GD&T and/or Mazatrol, to determine sequence of operations in machining a variety of parts.
• Set-up, fixture and machine all of the required features on a variety of parts of lathes and mills to specified requirements and tolerances.
• Utilize multiple set-ups to machine parts with a variety of features to specified requirements and tolerances.
• Use inspection and measuring tools and equipment to verify conformance to specified requirements and tolerances.
• Communicate well and works well with others; specifically, those who are involved or contribute in producing parts that you are assigned or co-assigned to machine.

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years of prior machining experience with ability to read drawings and use inspection equipment preferred.
