43 / hourMold Machine Operator The Molding Machine Operator (MMO) is responsible for overseeing the continuous operation of molding and casting machines to ensure production runs smoothly and meets quality standards. This role includes monitoring equipment for malfunctions, performing visual and dimensional inspections, adjusting machine settings, and handling materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
How You Will Help:
- The MMO observes continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary
- Measures and visually inspects products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
- Move and position work pieces, such as mold sections, patterns, and bottom boards, using cranes, or signal others to move work pieces
- Position patterns, inside mold sections and clamp sections together
- Lift upper mold sections from lower sections and remove molded patterns
- Set up, operates, or trends metal or plastic molding, casting, or core making machine to mold or cast metal or thermoplastic parts or products. The MMO operator turns valves and dials of machine to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates, and to set cycles times
- The MMO removes finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment, stamp identifying information on products when necessary
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner

What You Will Bring:
- Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
- Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles
- Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training
- Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions
- Must be available for weekend and overtime assignments as required.
Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training.
Compensation:
- $26.20 per hour, plus a $2.00/hour shift differential for second and third shifts
