Boring Mill Operator Atlas Metal Conversion 780 Route 519, Eighty Four, PA 15330 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating milling machines and ensuring the production of high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Mill Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining production schedules and adhering to quality standards. Duties Operate milling machines and other machinery in accordance with established procedures. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in machining processes. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to produce components that meet specifications. Assist in the setup of tooling and fixtures for machining operations. Operate forklifts as needed for material handling within the factory environment. Qualifications Experience with machining processes, including CNC operation, is preferred. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is advantageous. Ability to work effectively on an assembly line and adapt to changing production demands. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Willingness to learn new skills related to tooling and machinery operation. A proactive approach to safety and teamwork within the manufacturing environment.
