Description Job Summary:

Bongards’ Creameries is seeking a Slice Line Wrapper Operator based out of our Humboldt facility. The wrapper operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting sliced cheese wrapping machines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understands and follows set protocols for PPE and Cleanliness (Handwashing, Uniform, etc)
Operation of assigned wrapper machine
Monitor cheese entering machine, film wrap process and wrapped cheese product
Produce quality wrapped packages (film, label, seal edges)
Place excess cheese in rework containers
Assist maintenance with troubleshooting
Assist with Cleaning and Sanitizing of machines and other areas after production is finished
Keep work area neat, clean and organized
Work in a safe, efficient manner in a fast paced environment
Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent Math and Reading skills
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines Ability to work independently on assigned duties
Strong mechanical aptitude
Adaptable to sudden changes
Work as part of a team
Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Schedule:

Day Shift 5:45am to 6:00pm Monday
