  • Position Specific Description
  • Under limited guidance, this position directs a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in power plant overhauls and maintenance.

The individual in this position will lead internal and external resources to execute maintenance work with direct accountability for safety, environment, quality, schedule, and cost. The ideal candidate is expected to apply rigor, discipline, and focus in following standardized processes and procedures, while continuously applying a lean and quality improvement mindset to improve the process. Ideally, this position will be a candidate who has a strong technical knowledge of power plant equipment and is skilled at understanding and resolving technical issues, including unplanned scope. The individual in this role will work closely with other Supervisors and Contract Coordinators to develop and implement complex plans for execution of work scope. Preferred candidates will have industrial experience within Electrical and I&C and an Engineering degree. Up to 30% travel is required for this position. This position is planned to be based out of the Gulf Clean Energy Center located in Pensacola, FL, but working from one of the FPL Fossil Sites within Florida will be considered based on experience and capabilities of the candidate selected and requires hiring manager approval.
