Facility Equipment Maintenance Specialist Role Overview:
Our Facility Equipment Maintenance Specialist position is integral in enhancing operational efficiency by minimizing equipment downtime across a validated, cGMP environment. This hands-on role involves repairing, maintaining, and executing preventive maintenance on various facility equipment.
Your Core Responsibilities Include:
Diagnose and troubleshoot on diverse modalities, systems, and locations, ensuring all equipment functions optimally. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to mitigate downtime, participate in installation procedures, and uphold electrical systems. Guaranteed safe, orderly, and clean workspace via structured safety protocols and periodic inspections, in line with GMP and environmental mandates. Ensure shift duties are completed promptly, managing after-hours emergency calls as part of a rotational standby duty. Contribute towards continuous operational enhancement by analyzing improvement opportunities and adjusting equipment as necessary. Keep technical skills current through workshops and training, fulfilling required certifications, and sharing learning with team members.
Skills and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years in maintenance roles within manufacturing or industrial environments. Proficiency in computer use including maintenance management software. Solid understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric systems, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Competence in English communication, alongside problem-solving and mathematical skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Lean practices is advantageous.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Capable of meeting the physical demands and completing Operator training and annual re-certifications as needed. If required by the specific modality, this role is subject to passing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) required background check.
