Lean Specialist – McKenzie, TN Supporting the facility, this position is responsible for supporting the Lean transformation and daily management initiatives by ensuring strategies are implemented and principles/practices​/tools​ are incorporated in the culture and processes under transformation. This position implements and supports actions that bring about improvements to safety, quality, customer value, delivery, cost and inventory.

What You Will Do:

Support the facility in implementing continuous improvement objectives and daily management across all areas of the enterprise.
Work with necessary site personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process related obstacles and waste factors
Utilize facility mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and production flow methods
Act as a change agent to bring about improvements in the manufacturing process through the active support, participation and leadership of Rapid Improvement Events, Problem Solving and project management.
Provide necessary training specific to Lean Transformation tools and methodology (under the guidance of the Plant Manager)
Update and maintain visual performance tools, including mission control and MDI boards
Assist all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained
Conduct cycle time analyses, time studies, line balance improvements, workplace analysis and improvements
Create and implement standard work, work instructions and teaching/coaching line leaders to do the same
Assist operations in problem solving issues affecting safety, quality, delivery and cost
Support the launch of capital equipment projects, new product launches and redesigns.
Drive a Lean culture change through coaching of employees and leaders to drive lean behaviors, and follow the principles and practices of Enterprise Excellence
Collect / track data of changes and improvements made to provide Plant Leadership​ the assurance that changes are effective and lasting.
Through data analysis, review efficiency and effectiveness of equipment and processes and identify areas for improvement

What You Will Need To Succeed:

Associates or Bachelors degree or related discipline preferred (Equivalent education / training / or experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree)
Experience working in a world-class Lean environment highly preferred
Knowledge of basic Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement-based tools and techniques highly preferred
Computer proficiency using Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI highly preferred
Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity; ability to use fingers and hands to feel, handle, or squeeze; reach with hands and arms; twist/turn body.
