Leadership Full Job Description Position Summary:

Acuren is currently seeking a NDT Specialist/Project Lead for operations in Birmingham, AL and surrounding areas.

THIS WILL BE A CALLOUT/TRAVEL POSITION.

Acuren has an exciting opportunity to advance your career as a Project Lead focuses on inspection, safety and quality supporting our operations. Reporting to the Division Manager, the Project Lead has responsibility for leading on-site field operations at the customer site. This includes but is not limited to compliance (safety, QA, radiation safety, rope access), employee health and welfare, obligations of project performance deliverables, and engages with the client. The Project Lead will oversee and lead Acuren crews working on-site.

Responsibilities:

Interface daily with the client about work priorities and progress of projects Assist with project scheduling for the customer Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions Work closely with client to identify and remove obstacles Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc. Ensure employees and site leads have the tools and training to perform their jobs proficiently Evaluate each department to identify areas where efficiency, quality, production and safety can be improved Encourage adequate feedback from employees to ensure continual improvement of program Lead project, or site safety objectives Participate in performance management of site employees

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience Previous leadership experience an asset Certified or previously certified in NDT methods, and have a working knowledge of each methods strength and limitations to ensure the proper craft type is being utilized for the job scope requirements a plus Experience with quality and safety Be familiar with current codes and procedures needed to properly perform inspections and interpret results
