The Plant Operator will be responsible for overseeing the operation of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient production processes. Responsibilities Operate and monitor plant equipment and machinery through SCADA system to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner. May repair machinery using hand tools and power tools accordingly as needed. Interprets system data to make sound decisions and required adjustments of processing system. Observers gauges, dials, and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications. Maintain accurate records of production data, including output levels, quality control measures, and equipment performance. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and improve operational efficiency. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of plant operations. Skills Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate various types of machinery. Experience working with SCADA systems/plant operation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and supervisors. Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and schedules, including overtime and or weekend work.
